RaeLea (my college roomie) and I are spending our summer working at a local child care center, running a preschool classroom of about twenty 2.5-3 year olds. We try to have a theme every week, which we incorporate in art and reading. This week, of course, it was 4th of July! On Thursday I took in red, white and blue jello cups and on Friday RaeLea brought red, white and blue cupcakes. They were a huge hit. We also made flags (as you can see hanging in the background) and fireworks with glitter. I probably won't be doing anything with two-year-olds and glitter again any time soon. Except maybe under-the-sea-week....

I can see why your supervisor liked your room and the things you do for the kids. Bet the kids really enjoyed the treats.

Fun! It looks like you guys work really hard every week. How do you come up with all your themes?
